Grinch Brownies #Christmas #brownies

Grinch festive twist on Brownies Brownie Oreo Mint! I added a ton of Mint Oreos to a simple brownie mix and then topped with a White Chocolate Mint Ganache is soft, more Oreo cookies and some chocolate candy red. SO super fun!

I know I'm coming down to the wire here as far as Christmas treats to go. I started a little late this year. You would think I would be a better blogger and start preparing for Christmas back in July when people are much more ready to do. But ya know ... I was me.

And I must say, inspo for brownies is derived from one of my Son's best friend, Nate. Last weekend, we went to their House to pick up part of the fun  "Bake-Off's" tradition they have. All children must come up with the recipe, bake and present it to  "judge ". However, Nate wanted to create a sort of no-bake bar with Oreo, chocolate and mint extract. She doesn't follow recipes chosen to make the Bar all on her own.
Grinch Brownies

Materials

  • 18.4 ounces mix brownies, prepared according to package directions
  • 25 mint Oreo cookies, divided
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 Cup heavy cream
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Red chocolate candies

  1. Instructions
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 ° f. Line a 9 × 9 baking dish with foil and coat with nonstick spray. Set aside.
  3. Prepare brownie mix according to directions on package. Rough cut to 16 Oreo cookies and fold them into the dough brownies. That spread into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until Brownie is nearly in the Center and a toothpick inserted 1 inch from edge of Pan comes out clean. Place the pan on a wire rack and allow brownies to cool.
  4. To prepare the hot ganache-safe place the bowl over a pan of water to a boil. Place white chocolate and heavy cream in a bowl and stir until melted. Remove the Bowl from the heat and add a teaspoon of peppermint extract, 1/4 and a few drops of green food coloring. Stir to combine. You can add more mint extract, until 1/2 teaspoon if desired.
  5. Pour the ganache on top of brownies.
  6. The remaining Oreo cookies cut soon and sprinkle it on top of the ganache. Sprinkle on candy red.
  7. Refrigerate brownies, allow the ganache to set for at least an hour before cutting brownies into bars.
