Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 shallot minced
  • 6 tablespoons butter divided
  • 2 sprigs of thyme
  • 2 12 ounce top sirloin steaks (or ribeye)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh thyme minced
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat steak with a paper towel to do away with excess moisture.
  2. Season each sides of steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Warmth oil in forged iron skillet over medium-excessive warmth.
